Chartwell’s Kaizen Continuous Improvement Program is our most unique employee development initiative, based on the Japanese philosophy of continuous small changes throughout all areas of the company. Utilizing common sense and process orientated thinking, Kaizen empowers employees to identify problems within the company and introduce effective resolutions. The company wide initiative involves every employee and encourages at minimum, that once per month employees identify an area for improvement as well as suggested solutions. Kaizen encourages leadership and invites employees to identify problems and also to enhance efficiency, teamwork and productivity for the company as a whole.
The Kaizen Program includes an annual leadership retreat in Japan and various smaller trainings throughout the U.S. We’ve invested in a Kaizen Manager to train employees and develop the program further. The program contains components such as classroom and workshop based courses; dedicated internal and external mentorship; business cross training; and team building activities.
